About the Journal

Focus and Scope

“Naukovi Visti NTUU KPI” is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal that aims at the publication of research articles on the latest developments in key fields of modern science and technology. The scope of topics in the journal covers engineering, physics, math, chemistry and biology.

Peer Review Process

Each manuscript is reviewed by experts in the relevant direction at the level of dr.sci. of the corresponding profile by both university scientists (members of the editorial board of the journal) and dr. sci. of institutions of Ukraine and other countries.

For the convenience of reviewers and the conclusions receipt on the conformity of scientific articles with the journal criteria review form was developed, consisting of test table and page for observations and comments.

The journal uses double-blind review. To ensure the integrity of the blind peer-review for submission to this journal, every effort is made to prevent the identities of the authors and reviewers from being known to each other.

We refer reviewers to the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.

Publication Frequency

Publication frequency is 6 issues per year (volume number – up to 20 conventional printed pages).

Open Access Policy

This journal is practicing a policy of immediate open access to the published content, supporting the principles of the free flow of scientific information and global knowledge sharing for the general social progress.

If author submits the article for publication in the journal "Naukovi Visti NTUU KPI", that means that the author agrees with the policy of the journal and layout rules, and manuscript submission to the journal "Naukovi Visti NTUU KPI".

Publication ethics

National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” as the publisher of the scientific journal “Naukovi Visti NTUU KPI” supports the Elsevier policy is aimed to adhering the principles of publication ethics (http://www.elsevier.com/about/publishing-guidelines/publishing-ethics) and recognizes the principles developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). And furthermore, the journal “Naukovi Visti NTUU KPI” is guided by Code of Honour of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.

We encourage editors, authors and reviewers to work in accordance with the Code of Conduct adopted by the COPE.

In issuing the journal, we abide by the relevant laws and regulations for the protection of intellectual property rights and copyrights.

The journal only accepts articles, previously unpublished.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to mandatory peer review.

The editorial board is continuously working to improve the journal.

Authors must adhere to high standards with respect to publication ethics, remain in good communication with the editor(s), the publisher and any co-authors.

We consider unacceptable:

(1) Plagiarism (and self-plagiarism) in whole or in part without proper citation. All the citations should be correct. An author need to have written permission from the copyright owner for any reproduced figures or tables – exceptions exist under the fair dealing concept. An author must guarantee his submission is original, owned by the author, that no part of it has been previously published, and that no other agreement to publish it or a part of it is outstanding.

(2) Falsification or fabrication of dataFabrication, falsification or selective reporting of data with the intent to mislead or deceive is unethical, as is the theft of data or research results from others. If an author uses secondary data (datasets gathered by someone else), he need to obtain copyright clearance before data can be reproduced (exceptions exist under the fair dealing concept).

(3) Misappropriation of others’ work. All the contributors to an article are to be includedand all acknowledgments should be up-to-date. An author(s) should acknowledge the work of others used in the research and cite publications that have influenced the direction and course of the study.

(4) The deliberate exclusion of information regarding financial support that would be viewed as a conflict of interest. An author should openly to disclose any conflict of interest – for example, if publication were to benefit a company or services in which the author(s) has a vested interest.

An author must guarantee his submission is original, owned by the author, that no part of it has been previously published, and that no other agreement to publish it or a part of it is outstanding. The work must not be under consideration elsewhere.

The manuscript should be approved by all co-authors and responsible authorities at the institute or organization where the work has been carried out.

For manuscripts reporting studies involving human subjects, statements identifying the committee approving the studies and confirming that informed consent was obtained from all subjects must appear in the Methods section. All experiments on live vertebrates or higher invertebrates must be performed in accordance with relevant institutional and national guidelines and regulations. Investigations involving humans will have been performed in accordance with the principles of Declaration of Helsinki. If the manuscript contains photos or parts of photos of patients, informed consent from each patient should be obtained. Patient’s identities and privacy should be carefully protected in the manuscript. Experimental research involving human or animals should have been approved by author's institutional review board or ethics committee.

Publication fee

The journal does not get any publication charge for papers.

Journal History

The International Science and Technology journal was founded in 1997.

The journal publishes only the new results of fundamental and applied scientific research on the subjects of the journal, which had not been previously published in other scientific publications in Ukraine or abroad.

The editorial board of the journal accepts overview and original research papers on the following topics: electronics, radio engineering and telecommunications; power engineering and energy generating technologies; Information technologies, system analysis and control; science of materials and mechanical engineering; instrument-making and information-measuring equipment; energy saving problems; problems of chemical technology.

According to the order of MES of Ukraine from 07.13.2015 no. 747, from 07.10.2015 no. 1021, and from 09.03.2016 no. 241 is a specialized journal on physical and mathematical, technical and chemical sciences.

The journal is included in such scientometric databases: EBSCO, Index Copernicus, WorldCat, J-Gate, Google Scholar, Chemical Abstracts Plus (CASSI), OpenAIRE, Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, BASE, AcademicKeys, ResearchBib, Cosmos Impact Factor, Miar, Scholarsteer, and RSCI.

The periodicity of the journal is 6 times a year.
